Our Mom - There's so much to be said about our Mom. Our Special Lady, our One & Only, our "Sugar" as was known by her siblings growing up. Our Warrior - "Prayer Warrior", "Faith Warrior", "Speak Warrior", she speaks and God listened.........how do we know, he answered her prayers. Our "Faith Warrior", always stated " "Rome wasn't built in a day in addition - the "God's Willing" was an added assurance.
Oh yes there is so much to say, because all those specific & various quotes, has a story. Those stories are so much more applicable to a book. Her Legacy story is so much more applicable for a book. For now hers a piece of her world:

Mrs Barnes was a customer of mine we all loved her. She always came in with a smile and made us all laugh. Sweet lady, my favorite memory is when she snuck away from her nurse and came to see us then we see her Nurse hiking up our steep drive huffing and Mrs Barnes wasn't even breathing hard. They knew she was safe and probably with us.

To the Barnes Family

There will never be anyone like our dear Sister Gwendolyn Barnes, we were honored and blessed to know such a special person. She was a prayer warrior, mother of the church and a great friend. We thank you for sharing her through the years with all of us. We can remember the times when our school holidays were spent in fasting and prayer from Tompkins Avenue to Church Avenue.

Those days have inspired us to be better children of God and defenders of the faith. We will always remember the great friendship and fellowship our families share for more than 40 years. Rest in peace mother, friend and spiritual guide. Now you are a beautiful flower in Gods awesome garden. May the Lord continue to bless and comfort your hearts.

Love always,
The Rhoden Family
