Hazel Pauline Stough was born to Patricia Tigert and Robert Chilton. She leaves behind two beautiful sisters and a handsome brother. She also leaves behind a beautiful daughter, a beautiful niece, and four handsome nephews. Hazel could bring a smile to every face that had sorrow. Every one she met enjoyed her company. She had more strength than anyone thought possible. She brought life and love to every dreary day. She could silence thousands of anxieties with a simple hug. She was a true blessing to everyone who got the privilege to know her. After a lengthy battle with Lupus among other health problems, God called his greatest angel home on March 10, 2016. She had strength greater than even the toughest warriors. Her smile could mend even the most broken of hearts. Words cannot truly capture the love and light that she brought to the lives of her loved ones. She had more beauty than a million sunsets. Hazel was cherished and appreciated by her family. She will be greatly missed. She is now reunited with her father Robert and her beloved dog Mick, along with many other family members who have long awaited their reunion with her. Hazel had the power to shed the light of hope on even the darkest situations. She always had a positive outlook on life, even when it was hard. She had a passion for animals and crafting. Hazel’s favorite animal was the butterfly. She has now earned her wings, and she will fly just as beautifully as the butterflies do. Hazel and her daughter shared an incredible bond; one that cannot be severed, even by death. Having a great mother is one thing; having a great best friend is another. But to have both of those in one beautiful package was the greatest wish come true. My mother was the greatest treasure I will ever have in life. She was selfless and always instilled in me the greatest life lessons. I won’t say goodbye because goodbye means forever. Until we meet again, I’ll see you later momma. We love you, mom.
