Helen Elizabeth "Libby" Henderson

Helen Elizabeth “Libby” Henderson, 94, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 14, 2016. Libby was born on March 19, 1922 in Jackson, Missouri and was the daughter of Weston and Lena Henderson of Delta, Missouri. She attended Southeast Missouri State University. Libby worked for AAA for 34 years in Washington, DC and Virginia. She moved to Florida in 1989 and was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church. She was the patroller for SHARP and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, # 174 in White Water, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers: Allen and James Henderson and by a sister, Mary Hazel Smith. Libby is survived by one brother, Walter Henderson of Elon College, NC. She is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews, 13 grandnieces and nephews and by 3 great grandnieces and nephews. There will be a viewing at the Turner Funeral Homes, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609 on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 between 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 PM. Ms. Henderson will be laid to rest following the service at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens.
