

Henry 'Chick' J. Mooney Jr., age 98, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on October 29, 2025. Born in Woburn, Massachusetts, on August 20, 1927, Henry was a beloved and faithful individual who touched the lives of many.
Henry worked as an AVP for the Bank of Boston in Boston, Massachusetts. It was there that he met the love of his life, Dorothy (Doucette) Mooney, whom he married on September 12, 1970. After a fulfilling career, Henry retired and moved to Beverly Hills, Florida, with his wife Dorothy in 1982.
He was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus and the Irish American Club. His passion for history, baseball, and New England sports was well-known among his friends and family. Henry led an active and full life, enjoying traveling, especially cruising, reading, and spending cherished moments with family and friends. He maintained his faith as a parishioner at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Spring Hill, Florida.
Henry is predeceased by his beloved wife of 47 years, Dorothy, affectionately known as 'Dot', his sisters Eleanor Dahar and Mary Kelley, and his brother Richard Mooney. He is survived by his sister Patricia (Mooney) Parks of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Henry will be laid to rest at FL Hills Memorial Gardens, a fitting final resting place for a life well-lived.
