

Immacula Richard-Rousseau, 70, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Oak Hill Health and Rehab Center in Brooksville, Florida. A native of Haiti, Immacula was born January 27, 1952 to Gerard and Therese (Bazile) Richard. Immacula was a seamstress by profession and moved to Spring Hill two years ago from Tampa, Florida, where she had lived for 25 years. A gifted seamstress, Mrs. Richard-Rousseau loved sewing and could follow patterns that would result in beautiful handmade clothing. Her perfect day would revolve around her passions of spending time with her family, growing flowers and listening to music. Her favorite pop artist was Mireille Mathieu and one of her favorite genres was kompa, a jazz based dance music, performed by the group Carimi. In addition to her parents, Immacula was preceded in death by two aunts; Anesta Moliere and Celeste Nau; a cousin, Raymond Moise and a brother-in-law, Emmanuel Joseph Simon. Survivors include her husband, Jean Jamil Rousseau, together for 44 years; children Marie Robinson (husband Cliff) and Kathia Richard-Rousseau; grandchildren Timothy, D’Angelo, Rashard, Jamar, Janelle and Axton; sister Claudette Simon; nieces and nephews Milcah, Jethro, Winnifred and Pierre; great nieces Ashaniah, Destinee, Deana, Delaina and Lailah and great great niece Journee. Friends will be received at Turner Funeral Home in Spring Hill on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M., where a funeral service will commence at 2:00 P.M.
