Born and raised in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Jacqueline lived a life rich with warmth, purpose, and an unquenchable enthusiasm for everything she touched. Her journey took her through Massachusetts and California before she settled in Spring Hill, Florida, where she had chosen to be close to her parents — a decision that reflected the love and devotion she held for her family.
It’s hard to put in words how special Jacqueline was. She possessed a generous spirit that was impossible to miss, with a rare and beautiful gift for putting others first — not out of obligation, but out of a deep and genuine love for the people around her. If you needed something, whether you were an old friend or someone she just met, Jacqueline was there, often before you even thought to ask. She was everyone’s biggest cheerleader, always ready with encouragement and an unwavering belief. She had a zest for life that was entirely her own — her infectious smile and incredible laugh could fill any room. Whatever she set her mind to, she gave it everything, and that boundless enthusiasm made every moment come alive.
Throughout her life, Jacqueline embraced every role she took on with grace and unwavering dedication - from floral designer to various administrative and office manager positions. Beyond her professional life, she contributed her time and heart to her community, serving as a board member and coach for the Santa Clara County Restorative Justice Project and as a Victim Offender Mediator. A lifelong learner, she never stopped seeking ways to better herself, regularly pursuing classes and seminars to sharpen her mind and deepen her abilities. Her crowning achievement was her final position as part of the Air Crew at Jeppesen, a role she embraced with immense pride.
Among her many passions, quilting held a special place in her heart. Each year, Jacqueline delighted in creating handmade quilted gifts for family and friends at Christmas — a tradition that spoke volumes about who she was. She never did anything halfway. If you were the recipient of one of her creations, you could be sure that she had spent months carefully sourcing the perfect materials, thoughtfully perfecting the colors and design until everything was just right. Her quilts were not merely gifts; they were labors of love, each one a testament to how deeply she cared for the person who would receive it.
Her love for animals was legendary. Her chow Buddy was her steadfast companion for 15 years. When she realized she could not have a dog in her Florida villa, she offered her pet sitting services to anyone that needed help. She then created a haven for birds and squirrels in her backyard. Jacqueline’s neighbors and friends were always amazed to see the multitude of different kinds of birds and squirrels that came to greet her each morning (and gorge on the food she provided!).
Jacqueline is survived by her brothers, Mike (Mary) and Tom Fayer; her sister, Pam Songer; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was deeply loved, and her warmth, thoughtfulness, and joyful presence will be greatly missed.
Jacqueline may no longer be with us, but the warmth she brought into every room, the care she stitched into every gift, and the love she poured into every life she touched will remain with us always.
She will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, Jacqueline.
