Jacqueline Ann Marsano, age 88 of Spring Hill, Florida passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023. She was born in Newark, NJ in 1935. It’s fitting that she was born the same year that the Social Security Act was passed as she was the most supportive and giving woman, friend, sister, mother, and wife you could ever hope for.
Jacqueline was filled with passion and a true love for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She had a get it done spirit leaving nothing to be done tomorrow, which could be done today. She truly lived a full life, although never long enough. She was one of ten children who witnessed so much in her life. From the tail end of the great depression, WWII, putting a man on the moon to the birth of computers, internet, and smart phones…. which she loved to text her kids and grandkids on.
She led an amazing life. She grew up in Newark, eventually meeting her husband, Anthony William Marsano Senior. They moved to Parsippany, NJ and then eventually settled in Denville NJ. Jacqueline and Anthony had five children. Early in the children’s lives she was a homemaker, later starting a career in the medical billing field. Working for MBS, in Morristown, NJ where she was promoted to management. She then went on to head up -manage the billing and office manager role for Dr. Stone, Urologist in Roxbury, NJ. She worked there until she retired in 2002.
Family and being a giver truly defined her life. She loved being with family, her children, grandchildren but especially her husband of 67 years, Anthony Marsano, Senior. Even into their golden years, they still held hands when walking with each other. Dad never left her side. She taught us all to love family and help people. She truly loved to help people. Always supporting and fighting for anyone in need.
In her spare time, she was an avid reader. She loved to trade books with her daughters and friends. Always seeking the next best mystery or crime novel. Dateline and Law and order could also be frequently heard on her TV when she went to bed for the evening.
Over the last several years she attended Providence Church, in Spring Hill. She was a faithful woman, who found a true home among the parishioners, and the Priest who all had a similar passion for helping the needy. Here she was part of the Friday Food Pantry Program. Every Friday from 8:30 am to noon, they would feed people in need.
Jacqueline taught us all how to love our family, be there for one another, and help people in need. She was a role model, our role model of a life well lived. She will be missed dearly.
Jacqueline is predeceased by her son Anthony W Marsano Jr. and her granddaughter Jacqueline Marie Doherty.
