James Gerard Feit, 82, of Spring Hill, FL passed away peacefully with his daughter at his side, on Tues. September 4th, 2018 at HPH Hospice in Brooksville, after a brief illness. James was born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Walter and Anna(Vojnich) Feit. He grew up in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, where he attended Wm. E. Grady High School before enlisting in the military. Jim served our country in the United States Navy from ’54-’58. He married the love of his life, Marcella in 1961 and went to work as a Police Officer for the New York Port Authority for the following 21 years. Jim and Marcella became seasonal residents of Spring Hill, FL in 1997 before permanently retiring there. He loved cruising, NY Giants football, deer hunting, his family, and always had a smile on his face. Jim was also an officer of the Signal 82 Club of Florida. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Marcella (Massacesi). Survivors include his daughter, Donna Schroder of Spring Hill, FL; and brother, Robert Steven Feit of Palm Bay, FL. Military Honors will be rendered at Florida National Cemetery on Wed. September 19th at 11:30 AM.
