Jayne (Smith) DeSantis, 95, a long-time resident of Spring Hill, FL. passed away after suffering a stroke in late January. Up until then, Jayne was independent and drove her car daily to shop and visit friends. Jayne was well-known in the community as a kind and generous person. She supported several charities as well as numerous law enforcement associations. Jayne was originally from Donora, Pennsylvania. She worked for over 26 years as a high-lift operator for Fox Grocery in nearby Belle Vernon, PA. She was the only woman operating a fork-lift at the store’s distribution center, loading pallets of goods onto semi-tractor trailer trucks. Jayne was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Nellie Mae Smith; her husband Albert DeSantis; a brother and two sisters. Jayne is survived by her daughter Donna Jean Fox of Snellville, GA., and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be private.
