He was born in Roanoke, Virginia in 1967 to Roger and Sue Huffman. Jerry attended Northside Highschool before joining the United States Air Force. He had prominent careers at Norfolk Southern and Veterans Affairs.
Jerry was known for his "Jimmy Buffet" lifestyle and would do anything to help someone in need, even if it would be to offer a smile. He loved anything to do with music, whether it was playing, making, writing or just listening at one of his favorite spots. He enjoyed spending time with his boys who he had numerous adventures with including coaching them in sports, many camping trips, fishing and sharing their love of scuba diving. He embraced his role as Paw Paw and was always up for any activity that included his grandchildren, especially making them laugh and giggle. His positive light will continue to shine through his family and many friends he met along the way.
Jerry is survived by his sons Austin Huffman (Jenae) and Aaron Huffman (Kelly); his mother Bonnie Sue Huffman; brother Gary Huffman (Paula) and his grandchildren Briar, Abigail and Noah. He is preceded in death by his father Roger Huffman.
There will be a small celebration of life November 14, 2025 at 12pm at Lazy Lizard where the family welcomes friends and family to enjoy cake and live music.
