

He was born on September 4, 1952 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Formerly from Staten Island, N.Y. he moved to Spring Hill in 1991.
John is survived by his wife, Vicky DeVito of Spring Hill, children Christina Flashner, of Staten Island, N.Y., Jonathan Flores, of Florida, Nicholas Wright, of Barnegat N.J., Lisa Wright and Anthony and Patricia Wright, of Spring Hill. Four grandchildren, Spencer Wright, Sylvia Wright and Stella Wright, of Spring Hill and Charles Wright of Barnegat, N.J. Sister-in-law, Dora DeVito, of Spring Hill, mother-in-law, Louisa Loreto and sister-in-law, Katherine Loreto, of Weeki Wachee and 22 nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Angela DeVito and his brother, Sibby DeVito and brother-in-law Frank Loreto, Jr. John also had numerous cousins in Brooklyn, Staten Island, and New Jersey and many longtime friends nationwide.
John retired from Pasco-Hernando State College and spent most of his career as a longshoreman, demolition and construction worker, sanitation worker, truck driver and mechanic. He loved football, was a NY Giants fan and enjoyed watching games with friends and family. He enjoyed watching crime shows, documentaries and the Discovery channel. He loved listening to music, especially Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. John was a loyal friend who was always ready to help. He cherished his wife and family and was devoted to and entertained by his grandchildren. John's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will always be remembered with love and respect
Visitation will be Friday, January 27, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Turner Funeral Homes, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609. A mass will held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 5030 Mariner Blvd., Spring Hill, FL 34609.
