He was born in New Brunswick, NJ on August 23, 1940, and graduated with a Masters degree in Business Administration from Villanova University.
John married Dorothy M. Wiess on January 4, 1964. He was a Computer Science Manager for Merck & Company and the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, and a member of the NRA, American Legion and the Hernando Sportsman's Club. He loved hunting, fishing, boating and his family.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Maklary; son, Todd (Sherry) Maklary; and brother, Thomas Maklary of Fresno, CA.
Burial will be private at the Florida National Cemetery.
