He was born in Columbus, Ohio, on June 8,1940. He was married to Mary L. Stunkard on July 14,1962.
John Stunkard Sr. had a career in Automotive and Trucking for Thomassen Lincoln Mercury / J&M Trucking.
He was a member of Nokomis Volunteer Fire Department and had a passion for the Royal Rangers Program.
John is survived by his wife, Mary Stunkard, and his children, John Stunkard Jr., Carlyle Stunkard, Matthew Stunkard and Tammy Stunkard.
His grandchildren, Joshua Stunkard, John Stunkard III, Zachary Stunkard, Zane Stunkard, Zaryn Stunkard, Zian Stunkard, Victor Garza Jr. and Valdemar Garza
He preceded in death by his brother's, Harry R. Stunkard and William Stunkard, his sister, Gail Sanders. and, his Grandson, Tyler Stunkard.
