Jose Luis Correa

Jose Luis Correa, 75, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on Friday, Dec. 22, 2017 at Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville, Florida. A native of Bayamon, Puerto Rico, he was born March 17, 1942 to Jose Correa-Bairan and Carmen (Albert) Correa, one of three children. Mr. Correa was a retired electrician for IBEW Local #3, Queens, New York, a career that spanned 36 years. Jose moved to Spring Hill in 2000 from Bronx, New York and was of the Christian faith. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Virginia Correa, Spring Hill, Florida; father Jose Luis Correa-Bairan, Carolina, Puerto Rico; sons Richard Alex Correa, Bronx, New York and Louis A. Correa (wife Lena), Riverdale, Bronx, New York; sister Gladys Rodriguez (husband Sigfredo), Carolina, Puerto Rico; brother Robert Correa (wife Belinda, Richmond, Texas; nephew Dereck Rodriguez (wife Joanne), Hialeah, Florida; nephew Thomas Correa, Bronx, New York and niece Katherine Correa-Hicks (husband Lloyd), Needville, Texas. In addition to his mother Carmen, Jose was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Ruby Correa. Friends will be received on Wed., Dec. 27, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Turner Funeral Home, Spring Hill, Florida, where a chapel service will take place at 4:00 P.M.
