Born in Puerto Rico and spent most of his career as a glazier.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Kay of Bryson City, NC and sons: Gary Rivera of Tampa, Randy Rivera of Brooksville, FL and Randy Rivera of Sevierville, FL and daughter, Cindy Jones of Bryson City, NC. He was the grandfather of 8 and great grandfather of 13. He is also survived by brothers: Thomas Rivera of Miami, FL and Domingo River of Puerto Rico and sisters Christine and Belem both of Orlando, FL.
A chapel service was held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Turner Funeral Home, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL followed by interment in Florida Hills Memorial Gardens, Brooksville, FL.
