

Born on September 12, 1933, in Ridgway, Pennsylvania, Leah grew up in Kersey, Pennsylvania. In 2012, she relocated to Spring Hill from Beckley, West Virginia, where she had spent many years.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Travis Wellman, who passed away in 2018. Leah is survived by her children: Rena Courtay and her husband Philippe of Cary, North Carolina; Travis Scott Wellman and his wife Sonia of Tampa, Florida; and Lori Mollmann and her husband Paul of Tampa, Florida. She was a cherished grandmother to Christopher Wellman, Gregory Wellman, and Tristan Courtay. Leah is also survived by her sister, Lucille Cranston of Columbus, Ohio.
Leah’s memory will be treasured by those who knew and loved her.
Services will be held at from 9:30-10:30am on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Merritt Funeral Home Spring Hill (4095 Mariner Boulevard, Spring Hill, FL 34609) followed by a Mass at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church (13485 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL). A luncheon will follow to celebrate Leah's life at Wellington at Seven Hills Clubhouse (400 Wexford Boulevard, Spring Hill, Florida).
