Lindsey was born in Floyd, Va. on December 29,1935 to Cecil and Hazel Austin. He was employed by General Electric in Salem Va. for over 30 years, and had a passion for woodworking, automobiles, motorcycles and fishing.
He is survived by wife, Barbara Austin; children, Ron Austin, Cheryl Austin, Sonya Austin, Mike Henry and Scott Henry; sister, Judy Atkinson; grandchildren, Hannah Early, Alden Barnhill, Abby Henry, Allison Henry, Katelyn Henry, Chris Henry, Matt Henry, Ken White; and great grandchildren, Ruby Jo Early, Presley Barnhill and Palmer Barnhill.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Roanoke, VA.
