March 12, 1921-November 12, 2018
Margaret Lucille Tellefsen, age 97, died peacefully in Spring Hill Florida on November 12, 2018.
Margaret was born to Beulah and Kemp Finney in Festus Missouri in 1921. They moved to Detroit Michigan where she lived with her parents and two brothers. They helped other families during the depression by feeding them meals and giving them a place to sleep. She had many friends and they had fun getting dressed up and going to dances and parties.. She met her husband Tom while he was walking the beat and she worked at The Cinderella Theatre on Detroit’s East Side. They were married in 1948 and had three children.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Family was everything to her and she would do anything she could to help her family. She enjoyed living in Livonia Michigan where she raised her daughters and lost her son to the Vietnam War in 1969, Detour Village where she and Tom enjoyed much of their retirement, Phoenix Arizona where they traveled in the winter months, Traverse City Michigan where she lived near and with Sandy and her family, and finally Spring Hill Florida where she spent her final days enjoying eating out and taking drives around town.
Margaret is survived by her two daughters Diane (Kevin) Dasen of Shingle Springs California and Sandra (Michael) Burr of Spring Hill Florida, grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Aaron Burr and Julia Dasen. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Paul and Tod, husband, Thomas, and son, Timothy Tellefsen.
We will miss Margaret but we will all hold a lifetime of wonderful memories close to our hearts. She lived her life to the fullest and never let her obstacles stand between her and having fun with her family.
