Born in Muskegon, MI. on September 26, 1950 to George and Mildred (Fontaine Gilbert) Avdek. Mark graduated from Catholic Central High School, attended Muskegon Community College and a proud US Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam, 1970-1972.
Mark work history varied from Chauffeur to sinkhole technician, greens keeper to crab boat worker in Canada. Plenty of stories, plenty of jokes! He loved sports, tennis, softball, shooting pool and bike riding.
His sense of humor was famous!
Mark is survived by his daughter, Vinnie Fontaine, his sister, Michelle Avdeck, his brother, Brian (karen) Avdek. Mark had many friends, but none more important to him than Sandy Worley.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Avdek.
Celebration of life will be held in Muskegon, MI. at a future date.
