Mary Ellen Dykens

It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary Ellen Dykens, age 84, on March 19, 2025. Our hearts are broken as we say goodbye to a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Mary Ellen was a remarkable woman whose kind heart and spirit touched the lives of everyone around her. She was a devoted mother to her three children, a proud grandmother to her three grandchildren, and a cherished great-grandmother to her three great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved deeply.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Mary Ellen spent most of her life in Florida, where she made countless friends and filled every room with laughter and compassion. She had a natural talent for helping others.

Animals were big part of Mary Ellen's life. She adored many pets throughout her life that brought her endless joy and happiness.

While living in St Pete Beach Florida, Mary Ellen proudly served with the Coast Guard Auxiliary, demonstrating her commitment to her community. She found immense happiness spending Springs and Summers in Maine, a place she adored and where she created beautiful memories.

Mary Ellen's unwavering faith guided her throughout her life. She found peace in attending church and had a special devotion to Angels that brought her peace

We are forever grateful for the outpouring of love and prayers during this time. Mary Ellen's legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering grace will remain in our hearts forever!

A gathering of family and friends for Mary will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Turner Funeral Homes, Crematory and Cemetery, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609, followed by a celebration of life from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
