Patricia Anne Emich

June 12, 1951 – May 29, 2026

Patricia Anne Emich, affectionately known to many friends as Pattie, pat and grandma Pattie passed away on May 29, 2026, at the age of 74, after a courageous battle with cancer. True to her stubborn and determined nature, she fought hard and won more than a few rounds along the way.

Born in Lakewood, New Jersey on June 12, 1951, Patricia made her home in Spring Hill, Florida, where she lived for 47 years. It was there that she built a life filled with family, friendships, traditions, and countless memories.

Patricia was a devoted mother to her daughters, Christina Emich and Lauretta Heinzman with significant other Jeff Kay. She was a proud grandmother to Kaylee Mahan and her spouse, Tyler, Ashlee Heinzman, and Austin Heinzman. Her greatest joy continued with the arrival of her beloved great-grandchildren, Bryson and Tatum, whom she adored. She is also survived by her brothers, Bob and Kathy Byrnes ,Bill and Diane Byrnes and Jim Byrnes.

Patricia was known for her strong work ethic, independent spirit, and unwavering determination. If she set her mind to something, there was little that could stand in her way. Those who knew her best will remember her strength, her resilience, and the love she had for the life.

She found happiness in the simple things—spending hours thrifting in search of hidden treasures, tending to flowers, caring for animals, and enjoying the company of good friends. Making early phone calls starting with did I wake you or were you sleeping? Christmas held a special place in her heart. Her family will forever remember her beloved tradition of decorating trees for every holiday throughout the year, bringing joy and celebration into every season.

Though Patricia’s passing leaves a tremendous void, her family takes comfort in the memories she created, the traditions she passed down, and the love she shared so freely.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced for family and friends.
