

Raymond L. “Papa Ray” Hutchings, 87, of Andover, Massachusetts passed away September 9, 2025, at his home in Weeki Wachee, Florida. He was born in Tewksbury Massachusetts to Melvin Davis Hutchings and Isabel Monroe Hutchings. Raymond graduated from Punchard High School and enlisted in the US Navy from 1956 to 1962. Raymond’s career was in driving long distance trucking for Lincoln foods and Transtar Transport. He was a member of The Veterans and First Responders Bowling League and had a passion for bowling, golfing, painting, and cooking his famous chili and cornbread. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary Murphy Hutchings in 2017, son Shawn M. Hutchings and brother Melvin Davis Hutchings II.
He is survived by his sons Brian J. Hutchings (Karen), daughters Cheryl A. Knight and Colleen R. Tinari (Dr. Dominick A. Tinari), grandchildren Gabrilla R. Kopian (Jerry), Michael A. Tinari, Dominick A. Tinari II, Ian Hutchings, Brytni Baker and Raelaundra Howard, great grandchildren Josiah Bakeer, Camryn Howard, Bella Howard and Roman Howard, sister Gayle, as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and their spouses, great nieces and nephews in the Merrimack Valley of New Engi that he loved very much, as well as his adopted grandchildren Phillip IV, and Roman Tinari.
A celebration of life for Raymond will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Turner Funeral Homes, Crematory and Cemetery, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609.
