Richard Allen Benoit

Born in Chicago, Il on December 14, 1948, Richard’s life was marked by the steady devotion of a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose presence brought comfort and meaning to those closest to him. Richard was a resident of Brooksville, Florida.

Richard is survived by children Laura (Steve) Kurowski, Rick Benoit Saari, Amy Benoit, Jill (Jeff) Hearne, Katie (Danny) Kupres, and Melanie (Tom) Harrison; and is preceded in death by his son David Benoit.

Richard is also survived by grandchildren Steven Kurowski, Sara (Phillip) Conner, Jacob (Shaye) Kurowski, Justin (Kaylee) Benoit, Mikayla (Ally) Gaston, Breanna Tillman, Declan Benoit, Madeline Hearne, Anslee, Asher, Ayden Kupres, Tommy, Lilly, and Noah Harrison.

He is further survived by great granddaughters Payton, Preslee, and Sadie Conner.

Richard is also survived by siblings Sharon (Rich) Lesauskis, William (Karen) Benoit, Peggy (Pat) Rohan, and Beverly Hunter, he is predeceased by his brother Harry. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

Those who knew Richard will remember how deeply he valued caring for and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren—a quiet, enduring love that shaped his days and will continue to shape the family he leaves behind.
