My Uncle Rodger lit up this world with his big smile, contagious laugh, and endless energy. My fondest memories are of food fights with whipped cream vs. my mom, Tina. Or the occasional toss in the pool (I knew to hide when those shenanigans began 😂).

He was truly a devoted husband; he and my Aunt Angie were true soul mates and shared an unconditional love that’s hard to find. They adored one another. It’s not often that a married couple could work together and get along so well, but they made it seem effortless and were always a great team. As a father and grandfather, Tina, Tony, and Angela were the light of his life. He was always willing to help and support his children, grandchildren, and great grandchild. And whether it was a ride to/ from the airport, a practical joke, or something to eat you could always count on him.

I spoke with my Nana last night and she said “he was a beautiful, beautiful man- he would do anything for anybody. And he never complain about a nothing!” His loss will be forever felt by our entire family as he was truly a rock to lean on. Unfortunately this family has endured too many losses this year— our Chicago rock, Sam, and sweet, innocent Franca. But in memory of him, when my eyes well up with tears I am going to try and remember his gusto for life and sense of humor. I know that he would rather have everyone laughing instead of crying. RIP my wonderful Uncle Rodger, I hope that you’re reunited with all the family up there and chopping down a lot of shrubs in heaven. God Bless

This Guy....
Was there anyone in our close knit Community that was liked so much?
He and his beautiful Angie lit up any venue they walked into. He never knew a stranger, he shared laughter, silly stories, but most of all he loved. Loved Spring Hill, loved his amazing Family, loved life. I just know God has a special place for Rodger -showing people the way, serving them the best banquet at the Lord’s table, pouring the wine. He will be sadly missed here on this earth but he will be celebrated in Heaven, and we will all rejoice with him one day, and start up again where we left off.
Until then, fly free, watch over us as you always did in life, and remember we loved you- always.

Whenever Elisa and I where invited over to Frank and Janice's and we knew Rodger was going to be there, I immediately had a smile on my face, I loved to listen to Rodger tell me about his family, his projects that he was working on, his golf game, what a great guy.
He gave life everything that he had and he will be missed.
Our hearts go out the the family during these sad times, Please remember his smile and know how proud he was of everyone.
