Roni (Willson) Skinner, 69, loving wife of 50 years and dear friend received her Angel Wings on October 20, 2023. Roni was diagnosis with cancer in March 2023. Despite her immense bravery and the heroic efforts of her doctors and nurses at the cancer center and hospital treatments was unsuccessful. Her final hours was peaceful and surrounded by her loving family. We have released her to God and the Angels. Roni was known for her brilliant smile and her ability to make friends easily. She had the most infectious laugh, which just made you laugh as well. Roni was so proud of the life we made and especially proud of our children. Roni loved baseball of any kind from Pee Wee to the Pros. She loved drag racing and had once driven as fast as 135 mph, in a quarter mile herself. After moving to Florida, she was able to enjoy her swimming in our pool and water aerobics with her many friends at the YMCA. Roni called our home town of Spring Hill “Paradise” and we would toast it every night. I am so glad she spent her last few years in paradise. Here too you my love, you will be dearly missed. I love you.
She is survived by her loving husband William P. Skinner; sons Billy Skinner and daughter-in-law Dana Marie, Jonathan and Jeffrey Skinner; granddaughter Aubrey Heather who she loved to the moon and back; mother Christina Burrows Willson and her brother John and partner Diane, lots of loving brothers and sister-in-laws, as well as, cousins.
Roni’s wishes were to be cremated, and was adamant on not having a service, but to remember the wonderful memories we shared along the way.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.turnerfuneralandcremation.com for the Skinner family.
