Russell was born to Beverly and Howard Catchpole on February 17, 1961, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. He dedicated over 40 years to the injection plastic molding industry, where his commitment and expertise shaped a meaningful career, culminating in his retirement from Seaway Plastics Engineering in September of 2024.
Beyond his professional life, Russell found joy in golfing on the weekends with friends at Rivard Golf Course in Spring Hill and fishing with his best friend, Rob Gomez. Russ was always up for a quick getaway and loved making memories filled with laughter and good times while enjoying a good fire. His adventurous spirit and love for life were contagious, bringing warmth and joy to everyone around him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Michele; his mother, Beverly Catchpole; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Carol, Ron and Sandy, and Randy and Cindy. He is also survived by Maria and Michael Skinner, Lisa and Jeff Solomon, Melissa Milanak, John Massari, Andy and Melissa Cortileso, and many beloved nieces and nephews who cherished him dearly.
He will also be deeply missed by his extended family, who affectionately knew him as "Pop Russ" and "Pop 2.0." His presence brought love, laughter, and guidance to those around him, and his memory will forever live in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A visitation and service celebrating Russell's life will be held on March 22, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at Merritt Funeral Home, 4095 Mariner Boulevard, Spring Hill, FL.
Though he is no longer with us, his love, stories, advice, and spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved and knew him.
