

Stephen Lazzaro, 94 of Spring Hill FL passed away 2/16/21.Stephen was born in New York, NY on 4/4/26. Steve graduated from high school and received his diploma on his ship while serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and served in World War II, a great honor in his life was seeing the flag raised at Iwo Jima. Steve was married to Ethel on 10/2/49.
Steve worked as a barber and later for the U.S. Postal Service. Steve had a passion for stamp collecting, jigsaw puzzles, bird watching, traveling, exercising at the YMCA, an avid coffee drinker, attending church, listening to opera and enjoying his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. "Every day is Christmas around here!", was his favorite expression and would share it at the many numerous family celebrations he attended.
Steve is pre-deceased by his wife Ethel. He is also pre-deceased by two brothers, Frank and Mike, and two sisters, Mary and Rose. Steve is survived by 3 children - Anthony & (Debbie), Barbara & (Terry), and Jeannine & (Tom). He is survived by 7 grandchildren: Wendy & (Tom), Andrea & (Jamie), Stephanie, Chris, Dustin & (Jessica), Taylor & (Christian) and Kasey & (Tom - fiancee). He is survived by 8 great-grandchildren: Alexa, Ashlyne, Shelby, Cooper, Parker, Brayden, Ethan and Peyton. He is also survived by special friend Julie.
His presence will be greatly missed by those who knew him, and loved him.
