Theresa Marie Walasek

Born on July 29, 1955, in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania. Theresa lived a life centered around compassion, family and caring for others. She graduated from Wilkes University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and dedicated her career to healthcare. Throughout her nursing career she worked in various hospital settings and also served as a high school nurse where she cared for and supported countless students.

While living in Wilkes-Barre, Theresa met and married the love of her life, Steven Walasek. Together they built a loving family and welcomed two sons, Erik and Aron. Seeking warmer weather and new business opportunities Theresa, Steven and family eventually made their way to Spring Hill Florida where they created many lasting memories together.

After retirement, Theresa discovered and embraced her gift for gardening. She developed a true green thumb and found joy in caring for her many plants and flowers each day. Whether tending to her garden or spending quiet time at home, Theresa found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She especially cherished time with her cat, Sissy, and treasured every moment spent with her beautiful granddaughter, Charlotte.

Theresa was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Steven Walasek.

She is survived by her loving sons Erik and Aron Walasek, her cherished granddaughter Charlotte and her sister Cynthia Petsko.

Theresa will be remembered for her caring heart, unwavering love for her family and the kindness she shared with everyone around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at Turner Funeral Homes, 14360 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609, US, on June 18, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Committal will take place at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens on June 18, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
