Thomas A. Cooper, 92, of Spring Hill, Florida passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022. He was born at home 12 West Kirmar Ave. in Alden Station, Pennsylvania to Joseph Cooper and Letha (Wildoner) Fritts.
He Graduated from Newport High School, Wanamie, Pa, also a Masseur graduate of Anderson School of Scientific Research, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1947, 4th Army 28th division artillery during the Korean campaign. He was discharged in 1951. When he came home from the Army he met and married his wife Joan May Womelsdorf of 62 years on November 17, 1951, at the Methodist Church in Wanamie, Pennsylvania.
Thomas was a toll officer then Comptroller for the Delaware Joint Toll Bridge Commission. He worked part-time at the Y.M.C.A., managed the Barn Theatre in Frenchtown, N.J., worked as a sports trainer for North Hunterdon Regional High School, Delaware Valley Regional High School, Frenchtown, N.J., and Vorhees High School. When Thomas moved to Florida he joined the Civil Air Patrol, and joined the National Unified Service Command Air Force. He studied and received his doctorate in religion and homeopathic medicine. He is the Chaplin for the NUSC and Civil Air Patrol and for a short time the DAV. In 2009 Thomas received the rank of Major in the CAP and Colonel in the NUSC.
Thomas was a Master Mason in the Phillipsburg, NJ Lodge, and Scottish Rite 32nd degree, Life member of the National Sojourners, Tampa Bay #252, Lifetime member of the VFW post 10209, American Legion post 120 PUFL, National Athletic Trainers Association, National Associates of physical therapists, Life member of the DAV, and the Military Chaplains Association of America
He is dearly missed by his loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife Joan M. Cooper (Womelsdorf) and daughter Terri R. Werd/Nelson (Cooper).
He was survived by his sister Letha Andrews, and brother Joseph Cooper, children: Kim A. Kenjorski, Karen M. Suozzo, and Thomas A. Cooper and his wife Lori Cooper,
Eight grandchildren: Elizabeth Guzowski, Edward J Kenjorski, Nicole Long, Stephanie Cooper, Thomas Cooper the third, Thomas Cooper Werd, Randy Cooper Werd, and Elizabeth Cooper, and nine great grandchildren: John Paul Cofield, James Mason Long, Alexus Kenjorski, Taylor M. Cofield, Alison Daisy Long, Dysin Valentini, Elijah Kenjorski, Uriah Nicholas Long, Ingrid Long And three step-great grandchildren: Aleksandra Rae Lebedev, Gavin and Griffen Grawet
