Born in 1949 in Seneca Falls, New York to Sue and Bruno Giovannini, Victor was known in his early years as a brilliant young man with a strong spirit. After establishing himself as a talented electrician, he founded Gio. Technical Services, an industrial electrical contracting company. In later years, he worked as an engineering operations construction manager, where he was responsible for the successful completion of large, complex energy and infrastructure projects. Over the course of his life, Victor’s career with multi-national companies took him across the country from the pipelines in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to the refineries in Freeport, Louisiana.
Victor worked with powerful energy, and he exuded the same. He loved his family fiercely and possessed a quick wit and generous heart. A lifelong learner with an unrelenting curiosity, Victor will be remembered as an adventurous wanderer, a compassionate human, and a devoted friend. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Victor was predeceased by his brothers Bernie and Louie. He is survived by his wife Sherry; children Lisa (Bill), Michael (Christina), and Boni; grandchildren Michael, Anthony, Nicholas, and Olivia; siblings Robert, Quinta, Dora, and Eugene; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of Victor’s life will be held in New York at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to HPH Hospice Sturgill Care Center, 3010 W. Azeele Street, Suite #120, Tampa, FL 33609 or to Sturgill Care Center at https://lifepathhospice.chaptershealth.org/HPHGeneralDonation.
