William James George

William James George, aged 79, passed away on March 28, 2024, at Chapters Health Systems Hospice House in Brooksville, Florida. He was born on July 21, 1944, at Citizens General Hospital in New Kensington, Pennsylvania.

William was drafted into the army on July 21, 1965, and honorably discharged on July 20, 1967.

He was the son of William Gladwell Sanders and Etta Wilhelm.

William is survived by his brothers William John Sanders, Edward Roy Sanders, Michael Allen Sanders, and Richard James Sanders, as well as his sisters Loretta May Mattu and Sue Jean Talmage. He is preceded in death by his sisters Linda Rae Sanders-Sekeras and Debbie Lee Sanders.

William is lovingly remembered by his children William James Horrell Sr. and Jonathan Leroy Horrell, Jonathan's wife Amy Mellicent Horrell, along with his grandson William James Horrell Jr.

William was passionate about many hobbies and achievements including bowling, bingo, genealogy, and exploring the world through cruises. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him for his zest for life and his kind heart. May he rest in peace.

A graveside service for William will be held Friday, April 5, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Florida Hills Memorial Gardens, 14354 SPRING HILL DR, SPRING HILL, FL 34609.
