Our Willie F. Wilson, Sr., 79, the man, the myth, the legend, of Spring Hill, Florida passed away May 3, 2021. Willie was born on December 24, 1941 in his hometown of Jonesboro, Arkansas. His family moved to Tampa, Florida when he was 10 years old. He was an exceptional businessman, owning Wilson Cleaning and Tractor Service for 37 years, making many life-long friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharlene.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Hilda M. Wilson, daughters Teresa Ann Wilson and Rhonda Lynn Ellerbee (Justin) and son Willie F. Wilson, Jr. His children worked with him in the tractor business for many years.
In 2004 he and his son started Gulf Coast Custom Homes, an award winning model home in Spring Hill, Florida. He is survived by his grandchildren Paige, Selena, Dakota, Sydney, Willie III, Madison, Nick and Chad, two sisters Judy Simmons (Jay) and Nancy Ragan (Danny, Sr.).
The world lost a man of courage, integrity and honor. He had a great sense of right and wrong and a great sense of unselfishness, with a fulfilling heart to help so many. He served his country in the US Army and earned his Sgt. Stripes while serving in Korea.
Our darling, life is so unpredictable and fleeting we thought we had you for so many more years, our hearts are so broken. We will carry our love for you with us forever. Remembering you is easy, we do it every day missing you is the heartache that never goes away.
A celebration of life will be held May 15th at 1:30PM at his residence. Rest in peace our beloved.
