He was predeceased by his wife of nearly 60 years, Evelyn J. Matz. Adam leaves behind two daughters; his eldest Gena Gacevic (son-in-law Murat) and his youngest Jodi Feldman (son-in-law Joshua). Adam was blessed with two loving grandchildren, Samir Gacevic (Ruby Lam) and Amelia Gacevic Hasangjekaj (Leorik Hasangjekaj) and most recently, a great-grandson Adrian Hasangjekaj. He also leaves behind a sister, Bonnie; three sisters-in-law, Janice, Kathryn, and Maria.
Adam was born and raised in the Bronx and lived for many years in Spring Valley and Monsey, New York before he and Evelyn retired to Florida in 2001. Adam worked as hard as he loved. He owned a soda route in the sixties (if you know, you know), he tended bar in Suffern in the seventies and eighties and owned a restaurant before retiring from Frito Lays as a delivery driver.
Dad loved music, dancing, fine dining and most recently, karaoke. In his retirement, he served on the board of his village in his community; oversaw the planting of trees and flowers where he lived; and proudly drove the sheriff’s car as a citizen on watch.
Please remember Dad’s sense of humor, kind heart and pure love for people.
