

Adam Todd Posnack, died suddenly Tuesday evening in New City, NY. He was 47 years old. The son of Gail and Stanley Posnack, he was born on New Year’s Eve in New York, NY in 1966. He grew up with his two sisters, in Airmont, NY, where he graduated from Suffern H.S. and was a member of the football, wrestling and baseball teams. Adam earned a B.A. from Princeton University, where he graduated in 1989 and was a member of the Varsity Football team. Posnack had a highly-distinguished, 25-year career in finance, working for UBS, Lehman Brothers, Butterfield Bank, Deutsche Bank, Jefferies, and most recently, FBR & Co., where he was a Managing Director and Head of Convertible Sales. Known for his larger-than-life personality, intense drive, and biting sense of humor, Mr. Posnack was a loving son, husband, father and brother, and a loyal friend. He performed tireless charity work as a Board Member on behalf of the Familial Dysautonomia Foundation. Mr. Posnack’s greatest joys in life came from his wife of nine years, Robin (Fiddle) Posnack and their four children, Cody, Jack, Hunter and Charlotte; he often remarked being a father was the greatest gift he’d ever received. In addition to his wife and four children, Mr. Posnack is survived by his parents, Gail and Stanley Posnack of New City, NY and Boynton Beach, FL, his sister Beth Hecht and brother-in law Robert Hecht of New City, NY and Delray Beach, FL and their children Alexandra and Isabel, and his sister Jennifer DeMarchi and brother-in-law John DeMarchi of Sea Bright, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Sunday August 3, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Temple Beth El, 415 Viola Road, Spring Valley, NY 10977.
