

Alan Charles Wasserman of Boynton Beach, Florida, formerly of Spring Valley, New York and New Haven, Connecticut died on January 3, 2013 after a sudden illness – Mr. Wasserman was born on May 14, 1937. He graduated fromHillhouse High School and then Quinnipiac College, majoring in accounting. He also served in the United States Army and was stationed in Bamburg, Germany. Alan was the owner of New City Tax Services, based out of New City and Nanuet, New York and more recently, Boynton Beach, Florida. He enjoyed doing taxes as he semi-retired in Florida. He was an active member of Pomona Jewish Center and held various officer positions within the synagogue board, as well as the President of the synagogue. Alan was a member of the Knights ofPythias and the Masonic Lodge. He was also an avid collector of works of art by N.C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth and Howard Pyle. Alan was an avid reader and had an eclectic taste in books. He is pre-deceased by his wife,Betye Wasserman and is survived by his wife, Wendy Wasserman of Boynton Beach, Florida, his daughter, Roberta Ginsberg of Pine Brook, New Jersey and her husband Larry, his son, Andrew of Davie, Florida and his wife Lisa, his stepson, Thomas of Rowlett, Texas and his wife Cathy, his stepson Matthew of West Haven, Connecticut and his wife Jenine, sister GailFeinzig of Plainview, New York and her husband Myron, grandchildren Scott, Kimberly, Brie, Brendan, Thomas, Ethan, Bailey, Devyn, Helena, Matthew, Abigail and Lily. Funeral services will be held on Sunday January 6, 2013 at11:00AM at Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street, Spring Valley, NY 10977 with Rabbi Morris Zimbalist officiating.
