Born in Mineola, NY, Anita grew up in Carle Place, NY and attended SUNY Oswego where she met the love of her life in 1966. They married in 1969 and started their family in Stony Point, NY. She was an accounting clerk/typist for North Rockland Central School District in Garnerville, NY for over 20 years. Anita was an avid gardener, with a green thumb she tended to her Irises, Sunflowers, Black-Eyed Susies, along with her vegetable garden. She loved adventuring on cruises, spending family vacations in Lake George. She devoted her time to Animal Care, her 9 lives went to adopting and raising 9 cats through the years. What mattered most to Anita was spending time with her grandchildren and planning their next adventure, whether it was trips to the zoo, mall, or even Costco. Sweet like honey, she was loved by all, never with a bad word to say about others. Selfless and giving, she always had a plan to make every day special. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. The sun will not shine as brightly without Anita by Alan’s side.
