I was so sorry to hear about Charlie's passing.  Charlie and Vera were dear friends of my late father Bob Gelman.  We enjoyed seeing Charlie when we visited Bob in Florida.  Charlie was such a good friend and was frequently by Bob's side when Bob became ill.  We could count on Charlie to cheer us all up and lighten the mood with his good-hearted humor.  After Bob's passing Charlie and I kept in touch by phone.  He was always so pleasant and optimistic.  He spoke about missing Bob and about his children, whom he was very proud of.  I know he had a good long life, a life well lived.  I am only sorry I did not get to speak to him once again before his passing.   To all his family, friends, and Vera my deepest condolences.  He will be missed.  May his memory be a blessing.
