Chester Freundlich 82, of New Hempstead, NY passed away peacefully on September 7th. Born November 27th 1935 in the Bronx, he is survived by his wife of 57 years Sylvia, his son Jeffrey, his daughters Lisa Freundlich Keurian and Hope Freundlich Rush, his Son in Law Robert Keurian, 4 grandsons, Sam Keurian, Benjamin Keurian, Jason Rush and Dan Rush, his 2 brothers Charles Freundlich and Murray Freundlich and their spouses and numberous nieces and nephews. Born and raised in the Bronx, Chester served in the Army from 1955-1957. He met his wife Sylvia in March of 1960 and after a brief courtship they were married in December of that year. They resided in the Bronx until moving to Rockland County in 1977. Chester was a true family man, loved spending quality time with family particularly with his adoring grandsons in the later years. A very kind and gentle soul who saw the good in everyone and made everyone laugh, Chester had a passion for photography, history, could spend endless hours watching The History Chanel and never felt challenged by “do it yourself” projects. He retired in 1996 after having spent 40+ years in the Printing Industry. He will be missed by many. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday September 12 2018 at 11:00 AM Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State St, Spring Valley. Interment to follow at New Montefiore Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY. The family will be sitting shiva at the home of Chester and Sylvia Freundlich.
