Mrs. Rosen was the best 2nd grade teacher any kid could ask her during the 2011-2012 school year. She was loving, caring, sweet, and treated each and every individual as if s/he was her own. She brought things for her students, cared for them, educated them, but most importantly, unlike any teacher, loved them. God took her away from us too soon, but we know he is looking after her well.

I am truly saddened to hear this news. My son Nicholas had the pleasure of being in Mrs. Rosen's class twice, in the 3rd and 4th grade. I had the privilege of being her "room mom" for both of those years. She was a genuinely warm and gracious woman who will missed greatly.

My 3 children had the privilege of having her as a teacher and my daughter Brittany was lucky to have her twice. I was so happy to have been her "room mommy"  4 times. Eileen was a caring, giving person. Every time I saw her she would ask about my children, who are now in their 20's, and genuinely cared about where they were and what they were doing in their lives. She has definitely made an impact on the lives of my entire family. My heart hurts knowing that the world has lost not only and amazing teacher but a truly amazing person. She will be greatly missed.

To the family of Eileen Rosen our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of loss. Mrs. Rosen was an amazing person, teacher and mentor. My daughter Danlyn was blessed to have her twice at Knollwood. She taught 3rd grade and then moved up to 5th grade where my daughter had her again. She had a way to connect with every student in her class. She also connected with and made the parents feel a part of the class. I loved going on field trips with her or participating in a class project. She loved her "Room Parents" as she called us. Eileen also was a mentor to student teachers. She helped shape the lives of many new teachers, some of which now teach at Knollwood and other schools in the district. My daughter and her friends would stop and visit after middle or high school class let out and Mrs. Rosen always took the time to be with them even if it impacted her long ride home to NY. My sincere condolences for your loss.  Mrs Rosen was the first teacher I worked with when I was still in college. I then continued working with her while student teaching and my first 2 years of teaching. She had a tremendous influence on my teaching career.   There are strategies I still use today years later that are just as effective now as they were when she first showed me.  If it wasnt for her I would not be the person or teacher I am today. I am truly honored to have been one of the many people to have worked with such a wonderful person. She touched the lives of many students and colleagues with her generosity and kindness. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and the  entire Knollwood School community.

Dear Hank, Ruth, & Jesse,   I am with you in this incredibly sad time, and I can not imagine what you are going through. My heart weeps for the end of my dear friend's life on earth, but I know her giving spirit will live on. I will miss our daily phone calls. Love you All!

I began my teaching career with Eileen many years ago. I learned so much from her and her creativity.  She was so warm and caring. My sympathy goes out to all who loved her.

To Mrs. Rosen's family and her Knollwood family, I am deeply sorry for your loss.  Mrs. Rosen was a very special lady whom I always admired from the moment I met her.  You could feel her warmth and wisdom in every word she said. I know she was loved by her students and I know she will be terribly missed.  My condolences go out to all those whose lives she touched.

My heart is so heavy after hearing the news of Eileen's passing. She held such a special place in my heart for the last 40 years. I am so thankful to have known her and loved her. Eileen was a true gem I loved her personality and smile and enjoyed seeing her when ever she came to the office.. She will surely be missed!!
