Ellen Joan Kovitz, of New City, NY, passed away at home, surrounded by her family on March 5, 2014, at age 72. Ellen was born March 30, 1941 in the Bronx, NY to Abraham and Sue Broder. Ellen worked as a secretary for the Clarkstown Central School District in New City. In addition to her loving mother, she is survived by her beloved husband Ronald, cherished children Alisa (Ed) Garza, Craig (Kelly) Kovitz, 6 adoring grandchildren, and her dear sister Jill (Al) Lissoy. Funeral service to be held Sunday 12:30PM at Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street Spring Valley, NY. Interment to follow at Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, NY.
