Irving Dvoren , of Valley Cottage, passed away on October 22, 2014 at the age of 87. Irving was born January 3, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Morris and Basha Dvoren. Irving worked as a slip cover cutter for Kahn and Son in New York City. He was a member of the Bridge Club of Rockland, as well as the Sierra Vista Senior Club. Irving is survived by cherished daughters Marion (Bob) Van Pelt, Tina (Jim) Dvoren-Baker and Debra (Gary Elder) Dvoren, 4 loving grandchildren Maggie, Scott, Michael and Elyse, and 1 adoring great granddaughter, Ryan. Over the years, Irving also served as a foster grandparent. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Rose. A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, 1:00PM at Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus, NJ. Memorial donations in Irving’s memory may be made to the JCC (Jewish Community Center of Rockland) 450 W. Nyack Road, West Nyack, NY 10994. His family will miss his optimistic personality and his love of life.
