I attended Jesse Ellman's funeral and while I did not know him personally,
it was an honor to be a part of the celebration of his amazing life. He was 
not only a successful doctor but a true and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. May we all be blessed with so much love surrounding us in our lifetime. To Linda, David, Owen and Betsy and the rest of the family - how very blessed you were to have such an amazing role model and person to love. Sincere condolences. I just heard the sad news that Jesse had passed away. He was a very special friend and someone that gave me strength and insight when I needed it. May your memories give you strength on your journey of healing. If you are in the Berkshires this summer, I would like to spend time with you.

Dear Charlotte and all other family of Jesse,
I send my deepest condolences on your loss. When Cheryl called me to tell me that Jesse had passed I was speechless for a few moments and she asked if I was still on the line? I had paused to reflect on the many brief conversations we had over the last 11 years. He was always fun to talk with, especially since the grandchildren began to visit us frequently.  Take some comfort in knowing that your friends and neighbors care and share in your bereavement. Jesse's legacy will not be forgotten. His teaching prowess, and his dedication to his family will live on for many, many years. Enjoy the good memories you have of times you've spent with him. I know there will be special moments that occur that will remind you of Jesse and cause you to smile. I wish you strength in this difficult time. I'll be returning to WV in mid May. If there is anything Cheryl or I can do, please ask.

Out deepest sympathy from your friends and neighbors in Walden Village.  We are so saddened to learn of Jesse's passing.

I first met Jesse in 1966 when he was a young attending Physician at Einstein and I was a Resident. He was soon recognized as being a decent, smart guy and patient teacher by all of us.  Quite shocked and saddened  to hear of his loss and offer condolences to all of Jesse's family. Surely he embodied  the unceasing quest for continued study mixed wth compassion and caring for his patients, that all physicians should set as their standard.

Dearest Charlotte and  all your family,
I  have few words that could ease the depth  of your loss! I too am heartbroken for the loss of not only a neighbor sinces i was 5, but as a woman blessed to have Jessie deliver  my  1st daughter Marissa turning 30 in june.! Marissa was 5lbs8oz &  Jesse's response to her weight was"Meryl relax they are cooked at 5lb-11 oz"  I know you know how much I truly loved your man and how sad I feel for you all. I also  know Jesse would be thrilled to hear Rebecca has blessed us with a baby girl Marleyna Riley born 4/13/17  .   Me Hezi  and the girls send our heartfelt wishes to you and your beautiful family learning to live your lives missing a wonderful husband,father and grandfather! :(
