I am so saddened by the news of Karen's  untimely passing.
We were close friends in  SV Junior High. I was often  at Karen's home.  We shared all kinds of  experiences which make me smile.
I visited her family in Chapaqua in 1989  and saw her last in 2017 for lunch in NYC. Hee memory will always be with me.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. While I have not had the pleasure of meeting Karen in person, I have gotten a sense of how incredible a person she was by how she clearly touched so many.

A life very well lived. 

Karen meant so much to the Fradin family. My mother and her had a special bond.  And to my brothers and sister, it seemed she was more like a sister than a cousin. 

We grew up down the street from each other in Spring Valley, then across the street from each other in Suffern. 

So many many wonderful memories, from early childhood to now. Karen was so cool, and so much fun. You just wanted to be with her and around her. 

A few memories among so many that stand out:

On the bus to Camp Hill; driving around with her in her VERY cool Triumph Spitfire when she was a senior in High School and I was a gawky, insecure teenager; taking the bus into the city to visit her cool apt. when I was still a teenager and going to the big movie screen theatre to watch the movie Slaughterhouse 5 and then getting HaagennDaaz ice cream after ( back in the day when we though it actually came from Denmark); her epic wedding to Mel that seemed like something out of a movie; playing tennis with her at Ramapo HS courts when she was still a nurse, and her running to help another tennis player who fainted on the court; and recently hiking to the top of Mt. Beacon in the Hudson Valley at 70 years old!; and hiking some trails with her and my sister Meryl in New Paltz and Beacon...... we talked about everything ......especially how proud she was of her three great kids and what they had and are achieving in life.

I’m so grateful I got to spend the evening in her gorgeous Florida home with her a couple months ago, eating take out Chinese food, playing  and loving with my puppy, and just shooting the breeze.....

Her loss is simply devastating; when things got tough or I needed to talk to someone, I always knew I could count on her....... after all, she told my mom not to worry about me, she would keep a lookout over me, and now she is from heaven, hanging out with Larry, Barry, Marge, Bert and Paul.

Spent a glorious day with Karen and my brother Paul in New Paltz last summer with plans this summer for future get togethers. Our Mothers were very close sisters and we shared a family history.  Karen was  sharp, intelligent, charming, so incredibly funny and always fun to be with.. thinking of  her beautiful family— Mel, Joshua, Deborah, David and all

Karen and I became friends in 8th grade and kept in touch with each other throughout the years.  She was a very special woman whom I loved dearly. So many memories have flooded my mind in the past 24 hours.  I know how proud she was of her children and grandchildren.  My condolences to all of you.  She will be missed I am sure.

Karen was an amazing selfless friend who would do anything for you. I remember how badly she felt when her golf ball hit a skinny leg of a seagull and it went limping away. 
What odds. We cried and then laughed once it met up with its feathered friends.
Karen will be greatly missed. 
My sincerest condolences to the entire Adler family. May you find solace in knowing that someone loved is never forgotten.

I just heard the sad, shocking news of Karen's passing. She was so full of life and joy as I knew her. We started our newly married, parenting lives together on the same floor in our Riverdale apartment building.
