He attended Syracuse University and later earned his master's degree from Montclair State University. His career as a physical education teacher spanned 35 years at the Southern Westchester BOCES Program, where he touched countless lives and made a lasting impact on children with disabilities.
Larry's devotion extended beyond his profession into every aspect of his life. He met Linda, the love of his life, at Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Center where they both worked. They married on April 15, 1984, and their union flourished for 40 years filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Together, they raised two sons, Richard and Jason, who brought immeasurable joy to their lives. Larry was an exceptional father whose love and guidance shaped the lives of his children.
Larry's pride and joy were his grandchildren, Sloane and James, whom he adored with all his heart. Nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with them and witnessing their growth and happiness.
Outside of his family, Larry had a passion for golf, cheering for the Mets and Jets, and savoring an ice-cold Diet Coke. He enjoyed vacations with loved ones, particularly treasured trips to Saratoga, NY, where he delighted in the excitement of horse races. Larry's warmth and kindness touched everyone he met; he had a remarkable ability to remember names and make everyone feel valued.
