Martin (Marty) Zweigbaum, age 91, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026. Marty was born in the Corona neighborhood of Queens, NY to Ruth and Herman Zweigbaum. He is survived by his beloved children, Michael and Eric, his daughter-in-law Charyl, and the apple of his eye, his grandson Ethan who he was endlessly proud of. Marty is also survived by his loving siblings Bobby & Dolores, and Sarah & Stanley, along with many wonderful nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by many loved ones including his cherished wife Dolores with whom he shared a loving and happy fifty years of marriage.
Marty was a proud U.S. Army veteran. He worked in the Human Resources field for many years, primarily at Lion Ribbon where he and Dolores made lifelong friends. After retiring from Lion Ribbon, Marty did enjoy working part time, but he mostly enjoyed being Papa to Ethan and spending time with family and friends. He loved the Yankees and Veal Parmesan, but didn’t technically eat cheese (if you know, you know). Marty never forgot to change the clocks the day before they were due to be changed. Most importantly, he never forgot to tell his family he loved them and was proud of them.
Marty was a role model as a husband, a father, and a grandfather. He will be so missed.
