

Marvin David Litman passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025 at the age of 89. In his final days he was surrounded by family and had the opportunity to announce that he had a great life and was ready to move on.
Marvin was born October 29, 1935 to Harry and Thelma Litman and grew up on Pelham Parkway in the Bronx, along with his older brother Arthur. His happiest times as a child were the summers he spent at Camp Boiberik in Rhinebeck NY where he was a camper and then a counselor. After a short stint at NYU and then the army he had a long career in the furniture industry, first as owner of Bali Lamp Company where he was affectionately known as Marvin the Manufacturer, followed by almost 50 in sales.
For the past 55 years he lived in Rockland County, first in Pearl River where he moved with his wife Doris, to whom he was married for 64 years, and their two children Lisa and Barry. He and Doris lived in Haverstraw for the past five years. In addition to his wife and two children he is survived by his daughter-in-law Diana, his three grandchildren, Isabel, Hanna and Harry and their partners, and two great-grandchildren Aria and Noemi.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 1:30 PM Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street, Spring Valley, NY 10977. Interment will follow at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ 07652.
