Years later, with two young children at home, he made the decision to pursue a career in medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University at Buffalo and went on to become a respected neurologist in Rockland County, New York.
In 1976, he founded Rockland Neurological Associates and maintained privileges at Good Samaritan Hospital and Nyack Hospital for nearly five decades. His patients considered him among the finest physicians in his field, often citing his compassion, dedication, and innovative approaches to treatment.
Whether caring for patients, mentoring colleagues, or spending time with his large extended family, Marvin was known for his warmth, kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for those around him. He was admired not only for his brilliant mind and professional accomplishments but also for his wonderful sense of humor and genuine interest in others. Marvin also enjoyed many activities that he felt kept his mind and body young at heart. He was an avid skier, loved to bike, and was a competitive bridge player until his mid-nineties. His wisdom, compassion, and laughter left a lasting impression on everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.
