Myron M. Friedman, formerly of New City, NY, and recently of Nanuet, NY, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2013, at age 78. Mr. Friedman was born on April 29, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Max and Dorothy Friedman. Mr. Friedman owned and operated a trucking business and also worked as an insurance broker. Survived by his cherished children, Laura (Nelson) Jones and Jill Scalera, his adoring grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kathryn, Marc Anthony and Delaney, and his loving brother Howard (Millie) Friedman. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 16, 2013, at 11:30 AM, at Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street, Spring Valley, NY 10977. Interment will follow at Gates of Zion Cemetery, 670 Saddle River Road, Airmont, NY. Memorial contributions in Mr. Friedman’s memory may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or to the Rockland Family Shelter.
