Naomi is survived by her beloved husband, Steve, her children Jeff and Debbie (Trent), her brother David Lobl (Ellen), nieces, nephews, three grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
Naomi was born and raised in the Pelham Parkway section of the Bronx, where she attended Christopher Columbus High School (Class of 1962), and Bronx Community College (1964). She left school hand-in-hand with the love of her life and a legendary cast of characters who spent the next sixty years laughing themselves silly as they raised their families and travelled the world. Naomi and Steve were truly blessed with the greatest group of lifelong friends the world has ever known!
Naomi loved playing cards with her friends (shout-out to the Canasta Cuties!) and meeting each week with her crochet group (hello, Happy Hookers!). Naomi spent countless hours crafting blankets and chemo-caps that she donated to various charities.
She loved being a grandmother, and spent many years going to little league games, dance recitals, school plays, and everything else her grandchildren did. She was always there to cheer them on. She loved roller coasters (especially the big ones), pool days, bargain hunting, a good novel, and planning the next meal. In our grief, we comfort ourselves knowing that Naomi was fierce, she was loyal, she loved to laugh, and she was unafraid to the end.
