Renee Kahn

Renee Gerber Kahn, 83, of Monsey, passed away peacefully with her daughter Cheryl & son Steven by her side on March 3, 2019. She was born on July 25, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY to David & Ethel (Goldberg) Gerber. Renee married Irwin Arthur Kahn on January 1st 1979 to start the New Year off on the right foot! He predeceased her in 2005. Renee worked for the East Ramapo School district for over 20 years. She was also a chef/baker working on consignment for many different venues. Renee is predeceased by her parents, her husband Irwin (2005) and her stepdaughter Celeste Banks. She is survived by her loving children Cheryl Lynn O'Brien of Montebello, NY Lee (Marla) Fleischer of Montebello, NY Steven (Lynn) Fleischer of Grand Blanc, Michigan, her Stepson Bernard (Rory) Kahn of Rock Tavern, NY, Stepdaughter Denise (George) Burns of Virginia, her cherished grandchildren David & Marissa O'Brien, Beth Scott & Michael Banks, Jared & Alyssa Fleischer, Brian & Lauren Fleischer, Barbara Dee (Marc) Horne & Jacob Lee (Megan) Kahn. She adored her great grandchildren Pam Kelly, Alex Scott, CJ & Allyson Banks, Lucille & Scarlet Horne, and her precious and precocious great-great granddaughter Sophee Kelly. Also surviving are her caring and long-time companion Rolfe Daniels.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 6, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State Street, Spring Valley, NY. Interment will follow at Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus, NJ. The family will be observing Shiva beginning Tuesday evening.
